“As a teacher and mentor, I strive to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students can strive musically and personally. To accomplish that, I put a lot of emphasis on the importance of building a solid technical foundation (including posture, bow hold, left hand) from the very first lesson to promote healthy playing habits and prevent long-term injury, so that students can build upon their techniques to learn learn new concepts and pieces more easily. My teaching approach encourages my students to actively listen, reflect, and make informed decisions about their playing, which enables them to learn how to problem-solve effectively and gain the confidence to take ownership of their musical journey. Whether you’re a beginner learning how to hold the bow or an advanced student preparing for an audition, I am committed to tailoring and customizing lessons to your individual goals with the hope of fostering a lifelong love for music.”

With over a decade of experience performing and teaching, Yueching has participated in numerous musical activities, such as orchestral performances at prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, the Sydney Opera House, and the New World Center. She has spent summers at the Montecito International Music Festival, the Aria International Summer Academy, and the Oklahoma Summer Arts Institute at Quartz Mountain, and has been privileged to perform in masterclasses led by distinguished artists including Mark Holloway, Renée Jolles, Paul Kantor, and Oleh Krysa. She has also been a member of numerous orchestras, including the Interlochen Arts Academy Orchestra and the Arizona State University (ASU) Symphony Orchestra, where she got the opportunity to serve as Assistant Principal performing Sibelius’s Symphony No. 5 under the direction of Alejandro Gómez Guillén. Yueching currently teaches at San Marcos Music Academy and maintains a private teaching studio based in Tempe, Arizona, offering both in-person and virtual violin and viola lessons to students of all ages and levels.

““I found Ms. Yueching Ting through a search for a suzuki teacher. My son was only 5 years old when he started lessons with her so it was important for us to find someone that worked well with children. She has been great working with our son and in a short amount of time his confidence, technique (correct bow hold/correct wrist position etc), and overall playing ability has increased substantially. My son was able to perform for a recital and was so happy to showcase what he learned. Ms. Yueching is so patient and knows how to redirect learning when needed. My son is very active and she makes the lessons interactive and fun for him where he wants to practice and get better. I am so lucky to have found such a caring, talented, patient, and professional teacher for my son.”

"“I can’t say enough good things about Yueching! We first met Yueching through ASU’s String Project 3 years ago and my daughters have continued to take private violin and cello lessons ever since. With Yueching’s instruction, my daughters have earned solos and even a first-chair position in their school and school district orchestras. We recently learned that my freshman earned a spot in her high school’s Chamber Orchestra, the orchestra with the highest level of skills in her school. I am convinced this is a direct result of Yueching’s teaching and mentorship. She is very patient, encouraging, and communicates well."
