A distinguished flutist and educator, Jiyoung Lee holds a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) in Flute Performance from Arizona State University. With a career spanning prestigious international stages, she served as the Principal Flute of the Korea Philharmonic Orchestra and has been a featured guest flutist with the Bucheon Philharmonic, Tucson Symphony, and the Arizona MusicFest Orchestra.
A celebrated competitor, Lee is a prizewinner of the World Melodia Music Award, the Charleston International Music Competition, and the American Protégé International Competition. Her performance highlights include solo and ensemble appearances at Carnegie Hall (New York), the National Flute Congress (Japan), the Mid-Atlantic Flute Convention (Washington, D.C.) and National Flute Convention. Her artistry has resonated with audiences across the United States, South Korea, Austria, Germany, and Russia.
In addition to her performing career, Lee has served as a resident artist for the ASU Design and Arts Corps, and was a Teaching Assistant of the flute studio at ASU and Director of the ASU Community Flute Ensemble. She remains dedicated to fostering the next generation of musicians through world-class instruction and artistic leadership.
