Dominic Campos

Dominic Campos is a graduate of Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor's in Music Performance, as well as an undergraduate certificate in Suzuki Pedagogy (violin) teaching books one through four and has been playing the violin since the age of nine. During his years of violin studies, he has performed with many orchestras, studied with top faculty, and has taught the violin in several areas of Phoenix and Flagstaff, Arizona.

 

Dominic has served as concertmaster, assistant concertmaster, and other principal positions in the NAU Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra. He also held the position of Assistant Concertmaster in the Alpine Early Music Ensemble. Dominic was a section violinist with the Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra for four seasons and has also performed with the Phoenix Symphony as a substitute player during their 2017-2018 season. He has also attended the Brevard Music Festival, Eastern Music Festival, the Fresno Philharmonic Festival, the Luby Violin Symposium, and has performed in various chamber groups. Additionally, he has also participated in guest master classes with leading violinists such as Soovin Kim (New England Conservatory), Jung-min Amy Lee (associate concertmaster of the Cleveland Orchestra), and soloist Rachel Barton Pine.

 

Over the years, Dominic has had the opportunity to study with many talented violin pedagogues, including Levon Zarasian (Phoenix Symphony), Dr. Katherine McLin (ASU), Dr. Louise Scott (NAU), and Dr. Fabián López (UNCG). When Dominic isn’t in the practice rooms, he is a concert goer, a music listener of all kinds, a book reader, and enjoys spending time with family and friends.
